Ethan's infamous silliness.

I apologize that it is sideways - I forgot that it doesn't work that way when I publish the videos.

He really likes the polar bear toy. He does fall over in the end, but I caught him and he's fine!

The polar bear rocks back and forth and sings. Ethan was dancing and bouncing to it!
Almost 11 months.

Yep, he just rips them off the tree. The new famous term in our house (other than "no") is "pretty."

Investigating as usual. He also points and waves to the tree, as well as crawl underneath it.
Was not helpful whatsoever in the decorating process!

Ethan's duck bill - it quacks and everything!
Its nice when we walks around with it because we know exactly where he is!

Ethan and Brody in the box - Brody was in first, then Ethan decided that he wanted to be in there too. It was quite humorous to watch them struggle getting in and out and then do it all over again!

Ok, let me out of here!

Ethan loves to play with his cars!
And as I am posting he is sitting on the landing playing with a car - it has consumed most of his day.

I always like to help Daddy!

Godfather's Pizza (ham)- 1st Experience!
10 months

What a big boy eating off his plate. Surprisingly, it never hit the ground.

Poor Maggie, we get so much entertainment out of torturing her!

Whoa, alert the authorities, we have a break out.

Drinking his night time sippy cup - no more bottles!!!
10 months

We didn't really do anything for Halloween with Ethan, but we did get a tiger costume from a friend that he will be able to wear maybe next year (or the year after). It came with a hat, so we thought we would try that!

Halloween was cold and rainy here, but we still got quite a few trick-or-treaters.

Ethan does not like things on his head, and Maggie was investigating as usual!

Hi Mommy! Ethan likes the string on the camera!
And, as you can see, we will be scheduling a haircut soon.

Happy Halloween! Daddy won 2nd place with the pumpkin carving contest at the INVISION Halloween party.

Yes, it was a Saturday - Ethan went as Cyclone Super Fan - ISU beat Nebraska this past Saturday 9-7 AT NEBRASKA (first time since 1977).

Ethan went to the doctor on Friday the 16th. He weighs 24 lbs 4 oz and is 30 1/4" long - 95th percentile. No regular shots this time, but he did get his flu shot. We are slowly starting to get rid of the bottles and replace them with sippy cups. He thinks they are toys, but then again, he thinks that about his bottles too.

We are all still working on getting healthy. I am going through my second round of being sick, and everyday some new symptom arises, so I hope I am nearing the end. Mike is struggling with a cold as well, and we were lucky to find a buy one get one free generic cold medicine at Walgreens over the weekend! Yahoo! And Ethan has actually been healthy - other than a runny nose and occasional cough (which sounds fake half the time!).

We have hopes of getting to the pumpkin patch soon and are on the hunt for Ethan's halloween costume. Oh, and getting the halloween candy - yum!

9 months!

Family nap time...

I am watching your every move - give it BACK!

For those who say they never see him unhappy...this was a moment. He was mad because Daddy put his coat and hat on to go bye-bye.

Just a cute pic of his outfit!

Playing and "walking" - standing, really.

Investigating...

Interested....

Zonked.

Ethan's new foods this past week include macaroni and cheese, hot dog, and a turkey sandwich! This is torture for Maggie.

He is starting to climb...yikes!

He pulled the box off the speaker and figured out how to step up on it, and then he started to fuss because he couldn't figure out how to get down. We did this quite a few times that day. He never did figure out how to get down (and he didn't fall).

Mommy pushes Ethan around the living room. He hangs his elbow out the "window" and we chase Maggie. It generates lots of giggles!

I apologize for missing my usual Sunday posting this week. All three of us have gone through colds the past few weeks, with mine being the worst! But, we are all about 95% healthy - Mike and I are still coughing here and there and Ethan still has a runny nose. Otherwise, nothing too exciting is going on. Big 12 football started last weekend, so we had to purchase the channel that ISU was broadcasted on...it was a good game, until we lost. Good thing we only paid $2 for the channel!

Ethan goes to the doctor next Friday, so we are anxious for his "stats." He is close to walking - he will walk along the couch and let go every so often, but he doesn't quite get taking steps without holding on. He will look at you and then the couch, then the floor and plop down to crawl to you. So, we are working on it! He did turn 9 months over this past weekend, so to celebrate we started to transition to "people" food. We sliced up a quarter of a banana - he liked it, but got really frustrated at how slippery they were and then decided he was done, so he ate more like an eighth of it. We have also started the sippy cup with apple juice, which are finding gives us a nice diaper treat before bed or first thing in the morning. :) And, Daddy has been slipping him cheetos (well, mommy gave him a chip the other day too!) - so now we have Maggie and Ethan at our feet begging for a bite. So the next few months should be fun trying out all the different foods. I sure hope he likes macaroni and cheese....

Daddy pile - watching the Iowa State v. K-State football game.
Maggie isn't too keen on sharing her Daddy's lap.

You will always know when we take pictures on game day.
This is the official outfit for every Saturday - down to the socks!

Mommy and Ethan

Ethan thinks it's very funny to put the paci in Mommy's mouth.
We had some good giggles that day!
